Dog & Cat Surgery Services in Greenland

At Greenland Veterinary Hospital, we take pride in our ability to provide high-quality, advanced care to all of our patients, including surgical care. Our veterinarians are trained and experienced to perform most minor and major surgical procedures, from spays and neuters to mass removal to more complicated emergency soft tissue surgeries.

Because we are an AAHA-accredited practice, all of our surgical services align with the surgical standards set by the American Animal Hospital Association. These standards help us deliver the highest level of care and lower any risks associated with surgery. Of course, we also take your pet’s comfort and safety into account with our surgical services. We utilize pulse oximetry, Doppler blood pressure, and EKG on all anesthetized patients in our state-of-the-art surgical suite to guarantee a smooth anesthetic procedure.

AAHA Pet Surgical Protocols

The American Animal Hospital’s surgical protocols that we abide by at our animal hospital include:

  • Pre-surgical exam and blood testing*
  • Dedicated surgical suite to prevent cross-contamination and infection
  • Surgical clothing, including masks and caps
  • Sterilized surgical equipment

*Performing a full physical exam and blood test before every surgery allows us to determine your pet’s risk factors for any complications while under anesthesia. These tests also let us customize an anesthetic regime that’s specific to your pet. We offer several anesthetic protocols that can be tailored to your pet’s needs.
